From yesterday's #KDASFC match, some important things can be seen, such as:-
The 6th cleansheet of the Super League 2024/25
Captain, Safuwan Baharudin, who played in defensive midfield spearheaded the defensive line of; Umarbek Eshmurodov, Harith Haiqal, Zikri Khalili and Quentin Cheng as well as the young goalkeeper; Azim Al Amin, performed disciplinedly well ensuring that the team brought home three points without conceding. Their best performance helped Safuwan Baharudin, the team captain, to be named Man of The Match Selangor FC in the #KDASFC match yesterday. Even though he was unable to play until the end of the match, his experience and leadership clearly had a high impact in this match.
Faisal Halim is back in the starting line-up
Since the unfortunate incident, Faisal, known as Mickey, has been working hard to get back into his game. Yesterday, he returned to the starting line-up and played for 45 minutes for the first time. According to Abdifitaah Hassan, Mickey's time has come for more 1v1 situations, "He is a fantastic player and is making his way back. I'd always try to push him during training to help him become better day by day. He is also a smart player, he knows what he should do with good decision making. He needs to be more exposed to 1v1 situations. For me, he did quite well yesterday.”
Izwan Yuslan stings again
Young striker Izwan Yuslan was brought on in the second half to replace Faisal Halim, and wasted no time to score Selangor FC's winning goal in the 46th minute yesterday, repaying Abdifitaah Hassan's faith in him.
The Red Giants still remain second in the 2024/25 Super League table with 29 points after 13 games.
Next up, Selangor FC will fly to the Republic of Korea for the fourth action of Group H of the Asian Champions League 2 against the South Korean giants, Jeonbuk Hyundai Motors on November 7, 2024 at the Jeonju World Cup Stadium.
The management would also like to thank the supporters who came to the Darul Aman Stadium yesterday for their support.
Demi Kebanggaan!
